Camp & Retreat Site Director at Casowasco Camp & Retreat Center

The Camp & Retreat Site Director is primarily responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of a wide range of program services for Camp & Retreat Ministries (CRM) in accordance with policies established by the Upper New York Conference, Committee on Camp and Retreat Ministries, and directives set by the Director of CRM. These include compliance, recruiting, training, supervision, maintenance, programming, and management.

Food Service Manager, Pecometh

Pecometh is seeking a Food Service Manager to be part of our ministry team. This opportunity is a full-time, year-round salaried position beginning in January 2019.  This is a hands-on position requiring culinary training and/or experience. Staff management experience in a banquet setting is preferred.  Compensation includes salary of $28,000 – $32,000, depending on experience, plus benefits.  Housing available, if needed. Executive Director, Shepherd's Canyon Retreat, Inc. Wickenburg, AZ

The Executive Director shall be the chief executive officer of SCR, provide active management of the ministry and business of SCR and see that all directives and resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried out. The Executive Director is the only employee of SCR that reports to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors operates pursuant to a policy governance model.

Has a BA/BS degree (and preferably an advanced degree). Has demonstrated effectiveness in nonprofit leadership. Previous experience in leading an organization focused on renewal and reflection in a retreat setting is preferred, but not required. Per the core competencies has demonstrated competency in institutional advancement, public speaking and writing, strategic planning, staff development/management and financial management.  The optimal location for the Executive Director is the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area to facilitate access to staff, directors, the SSCRC campus and travel out Sky Harbor Airport to meet with the various constituencies and execute fund development strategies. The Board of Directors is receptive to an alternate location to accommodate the unique situation of a candidate so long as it doesn’t compromise the ability of the candidate to fulfil the role and duties of the Executive Director position.

Spirit in the Desert Retreat Center (SITD) is inviting applications and nominations for the position of Executive Director. In 1993, the retreat center was donated to the Grand Canyon Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who developed the retreat center as a separate 501 (c)(3) organization. The Executive Director will magnify the mission of Spirit in the Desert to be a holy place where people experience hospitality and renew their callings in the world.
