YMCA of the Rockies

YMCA of the Rockies, located near the town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. Come visit and be inspired by our surroundings!

You can fill your day and nights at Estes Park Center YMCA with our programs and activities. Every season brings fun and excitement for the entire family. Whether you are looking for adventure or a relaxing stroll, we can set you on your way.

Our Mission: YMCA of the Rockies puts Christian principles into practice through programs, staff and facilities in an environment that builds healthy spirit, mind and body for all.  We will accomplish this by serving conferences of a religious, educational, or recreational nature; providing unifying experiences for families; offering traditional summer camping experiences for boys and girls; and serving our staff with leadership opportunities and productive work experiences.

How to get here

DIA Airport Shuttle Schedule and Rates

Our shuttles run multiple times every day (see times below) from the Estes Park area to/from Denver International Airport.  The Estes Park area includes Lyons, Allenspark, Peaceful Valley; limited service between Boulder or Longmont and Estes Park.  Pickups may also be made at the AMTRAK station or the Greyhound Station in Denver.  Call our office at (970) 586-5151 for details.
We offer door-to-door pickup and dropoff service in Estes Park. We will drop you off at your designated airline at the airport, but our pickup location is the same for everyone. You can find our airport pickup location on the East side of the baggage claim level, outside of door 513, on Island 1.

Driving Directions to Estes Park Center from Denver International Airport 

Exit airport via Pena Blvd.

Merge onto I-70 W

Merge onto I-270 N/W

Which becomes HWY 36 

Stay on HWY 36 through the town of Lyons and eventually through downtown Estes Park.

About 2 miles out of town, you will come to another traffic light, at the intersection of HWY 36, and Mary’s Lake Road. Continue straight through that intersection. Immediately past that intersection, get into the left lane, this will take you off of HWY 36 and onto HWY/spur 66.

Once you are on spur 66 (also known as Tunnel Road) you only have another 2.5 miles left to go. Our entrance is on the right side of the road. Look for the large sign that reads: Estes Park Center, YMCA of the Rockies.

Check in at the Administration Building – the large brown building with the flagpole in front if it, just past the Chapel.

Directions to Estes Park Center from the Denver Area

Take I-25 North past Longmont, to HWY 66 (Exit #243, for “Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park”)

Take HWY 66 west into the town of Lyons

From Lyons, take HWY 36 west to Estes Park. HWY 36 will take you down the “main drag” through Estes Park called Elkhorn Avenue. HWY 36 will turn left off of Elkhorn Avenue onto Moraine Avenue at the fourth traffic light.

Continue out of town on HWY 36 west.

About 2 miles out of town, you will come to another traffic light, at the intersection of HWY 36, and Mary’s Lake Road. Continue straight through that intersection. Immediately past that intersection, get into the left lane, this will take you off of HWY 36 and onto HWY/Spur 66.

Our entrance is on the right side of the road after 2.5 miles on Spur 66. Look for the large sign that reads: Estes Park Center, YMCA of the Rockies.

Check in at the Administration Building – the large brown building with the flagpole in front if it, just past the Chapel.

Driving Directions to Estes Park Center from Boulder, Colorado (approx. 1.5 hours)

Take HWY 36 (Broadway) all the way through Lyons and eventually into downtown Estes Park.  About 2 miles out of town, you will come to another traffic light, at the intersection of HWY 36, and Mary’s Lake Road. Continue straight through that intersection. Immediately past that intersection, get into the left lane, this will take you off of HWY 36 and onto HWY/spur 66.

Driving Directions to Estes Park Center from Loveland/Fort Collins

Note* Over the coming months, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin reconstructing US Highway 34 in the Big Thompson Canyon between the Dam Store and Estes Park. This stretch is the main traffic connection between Loveland and Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park.

• Major construction and the associated closure of the highway to through traffic will begin after the first weekend in October. Additional details on this closure and the construction project can be found on CDOT’s website www.us34canyon.codot.gov , 

The additional travel time for the recommended detour route via U.S. 36 through Lyons during the winter closure is very minimal:

  • Only 11 additional minutes from central Loveland.
  • Only 14 additional minutes from I-25 east of Loveland

From Loveland, follow Hwy 287 south to Hwy 66. Follow Hwy 66 west through Lyons. Turn onto Hwy 36 northwest towards Estes Park.
