Spend an inspiring week of “next step” professional and personal development. Participants will spend a week exploring their full potential as persons who shape and sustain places for teaching and training. This advanced seminar for conference center administrators and staff will focus on new and dynamic ways to implement positive change in work and personal endeavors.
This seminar will provide you with a unique opportunity to take a fresh look at who we are, where we fit and how we spend life’s resources. The instructors are three highly accomplished teachers, anchored by a life-long practitioner in the field of conference center development and operation. The class size is limited to 25 participants in order to provide maximum interaction with the faculty.

Teacher, counselor, trainer and expert in personal development and mindfulness practice. With forty years experience as a clinical psychologist and trainer of professionals he leads his students and clients to a highly developed sense of self and others. He will guide us toward an in-depth understanding of how we may achieve the highest and best within us. Students will be delighted with his warm personality, good humor and ability to help us take a useful look at ourselves. The first of three presenters at this year’s seminar, Bill will guide us as we prepare to consider the concepts to be presented during the course of our study.
Doug returns after his time with us as a member of the faculty for Super Seminar 2016. He is Executive Director of the Foundation of The Episcopal Diocese of Florida and Deputy to The Bishop. Last year his subject was focused on developing relationships and building constituency and he guided our thinking regarding new concepts of institutional development support. The seminar participants found his insight to be helpful and inspiring to building greater personal depths and professionalism. This year he will focus on concepts presented in Arbinger Institute’s classic work Leadership and Self Deception.
Dr. William B. Duncan
Educator and leader, retired Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of Aurora University. Bill was CEO at George Williams Conference Center on Lake Geneva in Williams Bay, Wisconsin, before joining the Aurora faculty and becoming a highly respected professional in the area of professional education. He is no stranger to IACCA. A former president of our association he served as dean of the certification program for many years. Seminar participants will find him to be an instructor with deep insight into conference center work and an example of refined leadership in our field. He will guide us as we consider the value of concepts presented in a new work from Arbinger Institute, The Outward Mindset.
Current dean of IACCA education programs, Charles will be the anchor person. Recognizing that the work of people helping professionals has taken some significant turns in recent years, Charles has made a progressive and accumulative study of information that is important to professional development. During a 50 year career he has made it a point to stay up-to-date in the fields of professional and organization development. He will participate in each daily learning module and facilitate evening reflection groups. His role for this seminar will be to assist the participants to achieve synthesis of the course of study as it develops.
