As places of gathering, learning and personal growth, conference centers are a serious contributor to the values of our culture. As such, special treatment is received in the form of the non-profit structure. Conference centers operate under the non-profit rules.
Participation in this interactive classroom course will provide a deeper understanding of the of the conference center role. Information modules will include:
History of Nonprofit Institutions in America The Meaning of Mission Based Churches are Different (from other Nonprofits) Board Structures, Roles and Relationships Director Roles Compliance Issues Tax Exemption Risk Management
Students will receive an IACCA Textbook approximately two weeks before the class. This course qualifies as one of the six required courses for IACCA Professional Certification.
